Dr. Andrew Fiala will be our guest speaker.
Brief Bio:
Andrew Fiala, Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy at California State University, Fresno. Fiala has published over a dozen books. Recent titles include: Christian Nationalism and the Secular Paradox (2025); Can War be Justified? A Debate, with Jennifer Kling (2023); and Tyranny from Plato to Trump (2022). Fiala is co-author of a widely-used textbook: Ethics: Theory and Contemporary Issues, and co-author of Archetypes of Wisdom: An Introduction to Philosophy (both in their 10th editions). Fiala has served as President of Concerned Philosophers for Peace, Director of the Society for Philosophy in the Contemporary World, and as Director of the Ethics Center at Fresno State. He writes a regular column for the Fresno Bee and Sacramento Bee.
